About the Role
As a Paralegal at Peabody, you will manage your own caseload under the supervision of a Solicitor, handling a variety of landlord and tenant matters. You will support Solicitors and Senior Solicitors on complex or substantial cases, providing legal advice and analysis on both contentious and non-contentious issues. Your role will also involve contributing to policy and procedure reviews, corporate business support, and active participation in cross-functional working groups and forums across Peabody.
You will play a key role in delivering the Legal Services training programme and assist with special projects within the Legal, Governance and Risk teams. Your work will adhere to the highest standards of case management in line with Lexcel procedures. Ongoing professional development is expected to support your growth and the wider objectives of the organisation.
You will be committed to delivering outstanding customer care, valuing diversity, and demonstrating meticulous attention to detail. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong initiative and judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Your role requires curiosity about different aspects of business and operations, empathy towards Peabody’s charitable and social housing mission, and the ability to form strong working relationships across all levels.

Experience
Previous experience in a Paralegal role is required.

Qualifications
A Law Degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent qualification is required.
