Hybrid working environment based at Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU. Work 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home.

Salary
£40,404 - £41,637 per annum (SO1). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role unless matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.
About the Role
Join Lewisham Council Pension Fund, part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) with over 27,000 members and 40 scheme employers. Following a restructure, the Pensions Team is expanding and seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pensions Officer to support the in-house team. Key responsibilities include day-to-day administration of the LGPS, calculating all types of benefits in accordance with Scheme Regulations, interpreting complex legislation, and supporting project work such as annual benefit statements, pensions increase, end of year processes, and valuation.

Experience
Competent candidates with experience administering a final salary pension scheme and a CARE scheme. Good working knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes is essential. Experience with the LGPS and pension administration system Altair is advantageous.
