Salary
£34,863 to £35,892 per annum (Scale 5). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role unless matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.
About the Role
Join Lewisham Council Pension Fund, part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) with over 27,000 members and 40 scheme employers. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within our in-house Pensions Team as a Pensions Support Officer. Your key responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day administration of the LGPS and providing assistance on project work such as annual benefit statements, pensions increase, end of year processes, and valuation. You will also provide day-to-day support including scanning, indexing, and tasking daily post, interpreting LGPS Scheme regulations at a basic level to make decisions relating to new starters, opt outs, and refunds, as well as processing basic calculations. Experience
Some pensions knowledge and good office experience are required. Experience working within pension administration or a similar environment is desirable.
