Press and Campaigns Officer - Corporate Communications Enfield Council is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Press and Campaigns Officer to join the dynamic Corporate Communications Team. Putting residents at the heart of all our communications, the successful candidate will be supporting campaigns to promote some of the following priorities: - Clean and green spaces - Strong, healthy and safe communities - Thriving children and young people - More and better homes - An economy that works for everyone We’re looking for candidates with drive, tenacity, and creativity to help us deliver an annual work programme of campaigns and communications activity to support the Council’s key priorities. We’re looking for someone who can gain positive coverage for the authority across different channels in the media and directly to residents, support the Council’s crisis management efforts and to work closely with Cabinet members and senior staff on reputation matters and on promoting the Council’s priorities. Candidates must also be able to devise their own press/media strategies and monitor the performances of these with clear benchmarking and performance indicators. You’ll also deal with media queries from local, regional, and national press and broadcasters, and will help with the production of Enfield Council’s digital newsletters. We are looking for someone who has confident writing, photography and video-making abilities and who has a good knowledge of the major social media platforms and how they can be optimised. You must be able to work to tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy. If you’re confident, dynamic, creative and organised and have a track record for providing excellent communications support and stakeholder management, we would like to hear from you.
