About the Role
As Principal Aseptic Production Technician within Chemotherapy Services, you will ensure the chemotherapy unit's quality system is fully implemented and that any deviations are reported appropriately. You will assess and implement all changes and actions following standard operating procedures. You will have overall responsibility for workflow management and planning of all aseptic preparations, including the day-to-day management and allocation of all technical staff. When required, you will undertake senior technician duties such as aseptic preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy and other products, acting as a supervisor checker within aseptic areas. You will serve as a role model to staff throughout the department and undertake any other reasonable duties as specified by highly specialised chemotherapy production pharmacists or the chief technician. Additionally, you will lead recruitment and selection of staff for the Trust's chemotherapy aseptic units and assist with pharmacy-wide recruitment. You will also lead annual stock takes and internal audits to maintain compliance and quality standards.
Experience
Proven experience in aseptic production, preferably within chemotherapy or similar specialised pharmaceutical environments. Experience in managing technical staff and workflow planning is essential. Demonstrated ability to follow and implement quality systems and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in pharmacy technician or aseptic production are required. Additional training or certification in chemotherapy preparation is highly desirable.
