About the Role
Are you a senior structural/civil marine engineer looking for the next step in your career? Join us to work on globally significant maritime projects locally and internationally, collaborating with leading professionals in the sector. Your role will involve developing engineering design solutions for maritime civil engineering structures in ports and shipyards, using materials such as steel, concrete, and timber in accordance with relevant design codes. You will contribute across all project stages from inception through design, construction, demolition, recycling, and reuse.

You will act as Project Manager for small and medium-sized projects or Technical Manager on large and complex projects, providing guidance to junior staff including project managers, engineers, graduates, technicians, and administrative personnel.

Key responsibilities include preparing designs and analysis for maritime and associated structures, carrying out inspections and surveys, producing and reviewing design calculations, checking models and drawings, preparing Bills of Quantities, Contract Documents, and Specifications, and undertaking structural analyses and reporting. You will also deliver presentations to clients and internal audiences, provide engineering judgment and advice, and prepare or review study reports with a high standard of written English.

Commercial awareness is essential to deliver profitable results within project programmes by setting and agreeing expectations and ensuring on-time delivery. You will contribute to business development efforts locally, nationally, and internationally through proposal production and client interaction.

At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy combining engineering, design, consultancy services, software, and technology. Our mission, "Enhancing Society Together," drives us to create a positive impact worldwide. With over 6,800 employees across 25+ countries, we transform challenges into opportunities and make a real societal impact.

Our Maritime team leads innovative maritime planning, design, and development on international projects, creating successful ports and maritime infrastructure globally. We are among the largest and most experienced port planning teams worldwide, delivering expert commercial, technical, and operational advice and master plans across five continents. Our Southern hub manages all Shipyard projects in collaboration with global colleagues.
