About the Role
As a Product Manager at GCHQ, you will be the day-to-day owner of multiple technology and infrastructure products that underpin critical organisational services. You will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to guide products through their full lifecycle—from early planning and development through to implementation, improvement, and eventual retirement.
You will build strong relationships across the organisation, understand diverse perspectives, and work towards shared goals. This may involve helping customers prioritise work, negotiating dependencies between teams, and using data and evidence to support difficult decisions. Your focus will be to ensure resources are allocated where they deliver the greatest value.
Product performance data will be central to your decision-making, alongside maintaining roadmaps, refining backlogs, and contributing to planning cycles. Whether engaging with customers about their priorities or coordinating work across multiple teams, you will ensure critical products continue to meet user needs and evolve effectively.
This role is part of an established and expanding Product Management function that welcomes new ideas and diverse perspectives. You will join a growing community of Product Managers encouraged to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of product practices and ways of working.

- Employee performance recognition scheme
- Interest-free season ticket loan
- Excellent pension scheme

- Facilities such as subsidised gym, restaurant, and on-site coffee bars (at some locations)

Training and Development
From day one, you will receive a structured induction to familiarise you with the products, teams, stakeholders, and ways of working relevant to your role. An assigned buddy will support your onboarding.
You will join an established product management community with opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues, share ideas, and build your professional network through regular community events.
As your career develops, you will have access to product management development pathways, Agile and Lean training, professional certifications, and leadership development opportunities. GCHQ encourages continuous learning aligned with your goals and interests.
