About the Role
We are recruiting for a Project Support Officer to support the Residents’ Hub transformation programme. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 15 months.

Tower Hamlets is a diverse and vibrant borough in the heart of London with a population of 332,000 residents. The Council is committed to improving lives by providing accessible, local face-to-face services to tackle inequality, especially for those facing digital, language, or other barriers.

The Residents' Hub Transformation Programme is a major initiative to redesign how residents access council and partner services. It aims to create a new place-based service model that simplifies customer journeys, improves access to support, and increases resolution at first contact. The programme focuses on tackling inequality, improving resident outcomes, and delivering services that work for the community.

The Project Support Officer will provide essential programme coordination and administrative support to the Transformation Portfolio Manager and the wider programme team, ensuring the programme runs effectively and efficiently. Key responsibilities include supporting governance, reporting, planning, and stakeholder engagement activities.

You will maintain programme documentation, reporting frameworks, and project records to ensure information is accurate and up to date. Supporting data collection and analysis to monitor progress and inform decision-making will also be part of your role.

Additionally, you will organise and support meetings by preparing agendas, coordinating papers, taking minutes, and following up on actions. You will work closely with workstream leads and stakeholders to monitor progress and ensure completion of actions.

The role offers opportunities to lead or support discrete project work, undertake research, coordinate engagement activities, and contribute to key programme deliverables. Working on this high-profile transformation programme will provide exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and activities, helping to shape the future of resident access to services in Tower Hamlets.
