About the Role
Wates is seeking a Proposals Manager to support our growing bid pipeline in London, with a particular emphasis on high-quality bid writing and bid coordination. You will write persuasive, creative, compelling, factual, and focused responses for bid opportunities, including presentations and other quality-related activities, ensuring submissions are compelling, compliant, and aligned with Wates' brand and values.
In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and wider team to develop responses that are attractive, concise, and highlight the benefits of our offer. You will facilitate quality question workshops and meetings with the bid team to share knowledge and develop strategies to answer quality questions effectively. Additionally, you will manage and communicate relevant market and competitor data, check the quality and consistency of responses in terms of themes, messages, key phrases, and keywords, and liaise with key stakeholders across the business to ensure access to accurate and up-to-date company information on structure, accounts, safety statistics, and more.
You will also produce presentations, brochures, and marketing materials to support pre- and post-bid work and business development. Due to the nature of this position, a Basic Disclosure (DBS) check will be required at offer stage.

Experience
Proven experience in bid writing, proposal management, or a related field is essential. Experience in coordinating bid teams and managing quality responses is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in business, communications, marketing, or a related discipline are advantageous but not essential. A willingness to undergo a Basic Disclosure (DBS) check is required.
