About the Role
We have an exciting 20-month secondment opportunity for a Public Health Specialist to join Lambeth Council's Public Health team. This role operates across the South East London Integrated Care System (SEL ICS) footprint, covering Lambeth, Greenwich, Bromley, Southwark, Lewisham, and Bexley. The post holder will be based within the Health Improvement and Wider Determinants of Health team in Lambeth Public Health and will collaborate closely with other Public Health teams across SEL, including the KHP & SEL ICS Prevention, Wellbeing and Equity (PW&E) Team to foster integration and collaboration across the Prevention portfolio.

The role involves working with multiple partners and attending meetings across the six boroughs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing impactful public health policies, strategies, and projects; advising on cross-cutting public health programmes; ensuring evidence-based and data-driven practices influence policy and strategy, particularly in prevention; and advocating for community health with a strong focus on equity and citizen engagement.

This position offers development opportunities for candidates with post-MSc public health experience who wish to advance their careers. Lambeth Council is committed to equity and encourages applications from Black, Asian, and Multiethnic communities, utilising positive action provisions where candidates of equal merit are considered.
