About the Role
As a Recruitment Team Leader within the NHS, you will line manage, supervise and support the development of Recruitment Officers and Assistants. You will adopt a supportive, motivational and problem-solving approach, encouraging team working and training to develop resourcing skills. You will ensure team members have regular 1:1s, appraisals, personal development plans, and identified training needs. You will oversee and distribute workloads to deliver a high-quality recruitment service aligned with key performance indicators. You will be responsible for the training and induction of new team members as well as ongoing training to maintain high performance.

Your role includes managing the delivery of an effective and seamless recruitment service, ensuring quality of work and customer service, and continuously seeking service improvements. You will undertake regular audits across the Recruitment Service to ensure compliance with policies, internal processes, and legal requirements, addressing any areas for improvement.

You will manage the On-Boarding Centres (DH and PRUH & SS) on a rota-based monthly schedule for all Recruitment Assistants and handle complaints or escalations tactfully during the candidate on-boarding process. You will develop and implement service improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality customer service.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate production of Contracts of Employment, demonstrating flexibility in reviewing resourcing activities and processes, investigating problems and providing constructive feedback to the Recruitment Team and senior HR Managers. You will also process Certificates of Sponsorship via the UKVI Sponsorship Management System, coordinate ESR entries, and quality check compliance with employment checking standards and payroll entries.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in recruitment management or a similar supervisory role is essential. Experience in managing teams, delivering training, and handling recruitment processes within a complex organisation is highly desirable.

You have excellent communication and organisational abilities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. You demonstrate flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You are confident in handling escalations and complaints tactfully and constructively.

You are proactive in identifying service improvements and have the ability to work collaboratively with senior managers and team members to implement change.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Recruitment, or Management are desirable but not mandatory. A good understanding of employment law, recruitment compliance, and UKVI sponsorship processes is advantageous.
