About the Role
The Regulatory Risk Manager (FCA/HMRC) is a new and pivotal role within the Regulatory Risk Team at Nest Corporation. You will provide expert advice and support to the wider business on the impacts of FCA and HMRC rules, influencing both day-to-day scheme operations and the development of member, employer, and third-party propositions. This role involves managing relationships and engagement with FCA and HMRC regulators to ensure compliance and support regulatory change initiatives. You will build trusted partnerships internally across all levels, leading internal delivery and shaping policy for one of the largest pension schemes in the UK, serving over 13 million members and more than a million employers. Nest offers a supportive environment that prioritises people and provides opportunities for professional growth and development.

Directorate Overview
The Risk Directorate includes the Risk Oversight, Technical Risk and Data Protection, and Regulatory Risk teams. As a second line function, it provides advice, challenge, and support on risk matters. The Regulatory Risk team delivers advisory services and manages regulatory stakeholder relationships across occupational pension schemes, authorised master trusts, pensions tax, and FCA regulatory remits. The team works collaboratively with operational, proposition development, market engagement teams, and outsourced suppliers to ensure compliance with risk appetites and regulatory requirements.

Organisational Overview
Nest is the UK’s largest workplace pension scheme, established by the government to provide every worker with a place to save for retirement. We are committed to responsible investment, strong governance, and fostering an inclusive and flexible workplace where everyone can be their authentic selves.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to ensuring no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on any grounds including age, disability, gender identity, marital status, national origin, pregnancy or caring responsibilities, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or socio-economic background. We value diversity of thought and neurocognitive variation and are a Disability Confident Leader, offering interview opportunities to applicants with disabilities who meet the minimum criteria.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience delivering compliance advisory services related to FCA regulation and HMRC regulatory regimes
- Ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based advice on regulatory interpretation
- Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders to enable delivery of regulatory change
- Experience working collaboratively with internal customers to assess and mitigate regulatory impacts effectively

About You
You are a highly organised and proactive individual with strong advisory and stakeholder management skills. You are comfortable advising non-specialists on complex regulatory issues and building trusted partnerships across all levels of an organisation. You are motivated to support the delivery of regulatory compliance and change within a large, complex pension scheme environment.

Qualifications
While specific qualifications are not detailed, a strong knowledge of FCA and HMRC regulatory requirements and relevant experience in regulatory risk management are essential. A willingness to learn and develop further through Nest’s generous training opportunities is encouraged.
