About the Role

Our catering teams play a vital role in creating welcoming environments across our care homes and community centres where people feel at home. We are looking for a Relief Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team, supporting the delivery of high-quality meals and hospitality services.
This is a hands-on role in a busy kitchen, involving food preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and supporting a great dining experience for our residents and community members. The role requires regular use of commercial dishwashing equipment and the movement of catering trolleys, food deliveries, and other kitchen equipment throughout the day. Candidates should be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks, including moving and manoeuvring heavy items safely.
You will work closely with chefs and front-of-house teams, assist with basic food preparation, wash dishes and utensils, keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, support meal service, and help with hospitality and special events. This post is for relief/bank work on a casual, as-and-when-required basis.

Experience
No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. Experience in a kitchen or catering environment is helpful but not essential.
