About the Role
At Peabody, we’re committed to supporting vulnerable people across our communities—empowering customers to live well, independently, and safely. As a Resettlement Support Worker at Gloria House, you will play a vital role in ensuring customers can be discharged safely from hospital into a secure, supportive short-stay environment. You will work within a 24-hour resettlement service supporting six customers in a shared house. Our customers may be homeless, asylum seekers, or have no recourse to public funds, and you will ensure they receive high-quality tenancy management and resettlement support. This includes helping them navigate benefits, understand their occupancy agreement, develop life skills, maintain a safe living environment, and build connections in their local area.
You will support customers as they move from hospital into the service, helping them understand their occupancy agreement, develop essential life skills, and maintain a safe, clean, and secure living environment. You will also work closely with hospitals, support agencies, and partners while carrying out key tenancy management tasks, managing risks, addressing any issues that arise, and keeping accurate records to ensure each customer receives high-quality, person-centred support. Lone working is part of the role, backed by on-call managerial support.
