About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Science teacher (all subject specialists welcome but ideally Chemistry or Physics) who is eager to develop in their career. Our Science department is a strong and ambitious team, featuring a friendly mix of experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers. We have a well-resourced curriculum (we teach AQA) and a supportive Head of Department who is open to new teaching methods. The department collaborates effectively, utilizing protected co-planning time. With 8 Science labs and a healthy resource budget, we also benefit from a dedicated Lab Technician. We prioritize a healthy work-life balance with streamlined marking and assessment processes, complemented by digital tools to reduce teacher workload. Science is a popular subject at Winton, with students actively participating in field trips and extra-curricular activities. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people.
