About the Role
Star Primary School is seeking to appoint an inspirational SENCO to join our SEND team from January 2027 or sooner. This is a non-class based role with a teaching commitment. You will be responsible for supporting children across the school who require additional assistance, ensuring high quality in-class and intervention support for SEND pupils to enable them to make good progress in their learning. The school is vibrant and multicultural, committed to excellent educational provision through a Rights Based Curriculum and extensive enrichment opportunities. We pride ourselves on a strong ethos and shared vision that underpin excellence in teaching and learning. Our school day is designed to promote wellbeing, with an early start and early finish, supporting staff to maximise their mornings and reclaim their evenings. We encourage a culture of Brighter Starts, Fit Fridays, and the development of Executive Functions. The successful candidate will contribute to raising standards for SEND pupils, actively support our extended curriculum, and work effectively within a committed and supportive staff team. Professional development and equality are priorities, with a high level of induction and ongoing training provided. Visits to the school are warmly invited by appointment with the Head Teacher.
