About the Role
Star Primary School is seeking to appoint an inspirational SENCO to join our SEND team from January 2027 or sooner. This is a non-class based role with a teaching commitment. You will be responsible for supporting children across the school who require additional assistance, ensuring high quality in-class and intervention support for SEND pupils to enable them to make good progress in their learning. Our school is a vibrant multicultural community committed to excellent educational provision, delivering a Rights Based Curriculum with an extensive enrichment offer. We prioritise staff wellbeing with an early start and early finish, promoting a healthy work-life balance. The successful candidate will contribute to raising standards for SEND pupils, actively support our extended curriculum, and work effectively within a committed and successful staff team. We are committed to professional development and provide a high level of induction and training for new staff members. Visits to the school are warmly invited by appointment with the Head Teacher.

Experience
Previous experience working with SEND pupils is essential. Candidates must hold the National Award for SEND Coordination.
