We are looking for a motivated, high performing Senior Administrator that wants to make a difference and can provide support to the team through a period of development and change, with an ultimate aim of operating slick and efficient processes, and projects whilst providing the best service to our customers, residents and businesses. The Role: The Senior Administrator will report to the Business Systems Lead within Digital Services and is responsible for delivering day to day operational service delivery of specific Council applications with or without the guidance and/or supervision of a more senior member of staff. The post holder performs a range and variety of technical and/or professional work activities, and supports development, implementation and compliance for the available standards, methods, tools and applications in use With exciting times ahead, we are reshaping the Digital Services Team and have created roles, to add value and to provide the best Service to our citizens. The post offers a fantastic opportunity to manage several competing activities, predominantly operational, including decisions that could impact the delivery of the service to one or more service within the Council. Key Accountabilities: Contribute to the overall quality of service delivered to internal users and clients. Ensures all Council applications function efficiently. Constructively challenge and take action with pace where there are performance shortfalls. Analytical Skills – problem solving & decision making Producing documentation Performing application configuration and administration Customer Support Planning, testing and implementation – system upgrades / fixes Resolving user application support questions and issues in accordance with service levels Data management knowledge of batch and application monitoring, production issue trouble-shooting and issue tracking Experience managing and contributing to the development of best practice policies and procedures Essential Skills/Competencies: - Experience of delivering dedicated service support for Civica Open Revenues and D360 Systems - Proven in-depth understanding of all Revenues & Benefits areas including Business Rates, Council Tax, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support and Overpayments; including testing and deployment of new modules and upgrades as well as configuration and parameter maintenance. - Good English literacy (written, and verbal for business facing roles) and numeracy skills - Experience of technical liaison with vendors as required - Experience of resolving user application support questions and issues in accordance with service levels - Experience of performing application configuration and administration - Strong ability to provide both detailed information as well as high-level summaries to key stakeholders Desirable Skills/Competencies: - ITIL foundation, or equivalent training and/or certification - Experience of managing the Open Revenues system and Year End Processes Contact Details - If you would like to know more about the role, please contact Wendy Parris on [email protected] for an informal discussion If you have any difficulties accessing this information, please contact Farida Uddin on 0208 132 1027 or email [email protected] We do not see your name or title when shortlisting your application.
