About the Role
The Housing Regeneration Team plays a key role in the strategic development of the Council’s Housing Revenue Account (HRA) portfolio and leads borough-wide housing development projects and partnerships. This team drives the corporate housing development programme and small sites programme by identifying and developing project opportunities that align with the Council’s vision and values, delivering significant outputs. Individual schemes may have developed values exceeding £100 million per project.
The Housing Enabling Manager will be responsible for managing projects within the Housing Development Programme, contributing directly to the delivery of new homes in support of the Council’s objective to deliver over 3,500 new affordable homes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, forward-thinking, and proactive team.
The position focuses on accelerating housing supply in the Borough at pace, addressing the current shortfall in supply and driving the necessary step change to support delivery. The role also involves actively promoting the need for rapid housing delivery both internally and externally, providing information, advice, and guidance to landowners to bring forward schemes. The Housing Enabling Manager will have a leading role in supporting the multi-disciplinary Regeneration and Development teams, which provide governance to support the work programme.

Experience
Proven experience in managing housing development projects or programmes, preferably within a local authority or housing sector environment. Demonstrable ability to drive complex projects to delivery and work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications
