About the Role
Please note that this role will close at 00:01 on Friday 31 July 2026, and we advise submitting your application by no later than midnight on Thursday 30 July 2026. This is an 18 month fixed term contract.

Ofcom is the UK’s communications regulator, delivering vital work that keeps the UK connected and shapes the future of communication. Our remit covers phones, broadband, TV, radio, postal services, and wireless devices. We are also committed to making the online world a safer place.

The Online Safety Group ensures UK citizens have a safer life online by implementing and overseeing the Online Safety Act 2023. This role sits within the Policy Development team of the Online Safety Group and may be deployed across various priority areas including policy delivery, compliance initiatives, implementation, and other cross-cutting projects. We operate a flexible resourcing model, allowing colleagues to apply their project management skills across different areas as priorities evolve.

You will work closely with Principal, Director, and wider project leadership teams responsible for priority areas such as policy projects, compliance initiatives, implementation activity, supervision-related work, or other cross-functional programmes. Your responsibilities will include planning, structuring, delivery, and coordination of ambitious work across these areas.

As Project Manager, you will harness individual strengths, support coordination of diverse colleagues, facilitate cross-team working, encourage practical delivery schedules, unblock issues, and provide honest progress assessments. You will manage risks and issues, plan resources effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and manage internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires delivering high-quality work efficiently and on time, wherever deployed, while overseeing junior policy colleagues and supporting their development.
