About the Role
This role sits within Corporate Affairs and Marketing (CAM), focusing on speechwriting and executive communications for senior leaders, primarily the Group CEO. Reporting to the Head of Executive Communications and Content, you will work closely with senior leaders across the business, the Group CEO Office, and colleagues in communications, marketing, digital, regulatory strategy, and government relations. You will act as a trusted partner to the Group CEO and CEO Office, crafting high-quality speeches, briefing materials, and communications for external engagements and strategic moments. You will identify thought leadership and speaking opportunities to position the Group CEO as an authority on the sector, industry, and LSEG’s external environment. Additionally, you will help shape and evolve the Group narrative and positioning across priority themes, ensuring consistency and impact across channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality briefing materials, speeches, and executive communications content for the Group CEO and other senior leaders.
- Collaborate with the Office of the CEO and cross-functionally across Corporate Affairs & Marketing to triage and prioritise inbound speaker and external engagement requests.
- Support the development and execution of the Group CEO’s proactive speaker engagement programme.
- Identify organic speaking and thought leadership opportunities for the Group CEO and other executives.
- Work with content and social teams to amplify executive content.
- Shape and evolve the Group narrative and positioning on strategic themes.

Experience
- Proven ability to work closely with and influence senior leaders.
- Strong written and research skills with experience managing complex environments and competing deadlines.
- Ability to build and leverage strong personal networks within complex organisations.
- Keen interest and understanding of the evolving political, macro-economic, and regulatory landscape internationally.
- Basic understanding of financial markets, technology, AI industries, and listed businesses.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary executive communications programmes is desirable but not essential, including media relations, social media, video, policy campaigning, and government relations.
- Speechwriting experience is desirable but not essential.
- Client-servicing experience in relevant sectors is desirable but not essential.
