Location
This is a fully remote role; however, you must permanently reside in the UK throughout your employment.

Hours
Full-time employment is preferred, though part-time (minimum of 3 days per week) is also available.

Salary
£68,000-72,000 per year for allied healthcare professionals and social workers, depending on prior relevant experience.
£75,000-80,000 per year for practitioner psychologists, depending on prior relevant experience.
Competitive salary for GMC-registered clinicians, depending on prior relevant experience.

About the Role
Paloma Health is on a mission to transform access to autism and ADHD assessments for children and young people by providing timely, high-quality NHS services within 4 weeks of GP referral. As a Senior Autism Assessor, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering remote developmental histories and child observations via video calls, peer multidisciplinary diagnostic decision-making, tech-enabled outcome report writing, and outcome calls with families.

You will benefit from a gold-standard autism assessment pathway and innovative Patient Record software designed to improve assessor satisfaction and streamline report writing, including AI tools.

Additional responsibilities may be available based on your skills and experience, such as supporting complex cases, quality assurance, training, family engagement, or pathway development. These roles come with a reduced caseload to allow focused time.

Requirements

Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in children and young people's autism diagnostic assessments OR evidence of high proficiency in all autism assessment competency areas if less than 4 years.
- Experience conducting remote developmental histories and child observations.
- Knowledge of co-occurring conditions and differentials within autism assessments.
- Ability to produce concise, client-centred clinical reports including diagnostic formulation and strengths and needs profiles.
- Good time management and caseload management skills.
- High-quality communication skills with parents and patients.
- Enhanced DBS with barred list check.

Qualifications
- Professional registration with one of the following: HCPC, NMC, GMC, or Social Work England.
- Recognised ADOS-2 course completion required for NMC, HCPC, and Social Work England registered applicants (Clinical Psychologists and Medical Doctors may be considered without ADOS-2).
- Formal training in autism developmental histories (e.g., ADI-R) is desirable.
- Evidence of safeguarding training (Level 3 or above) is desirable.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments within autism assessment services is desirable.
- Experience in ADHD assessments is desirable.
