About the Role
Join the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a Senior Benchmarks Supervision Associate within the Benchmarks and Credit Rating Agencies Supervision team, part of the Capital Markets Department in the Supervision, Policy & Competition (SPC) division. You will play a key role in supervising UK-regulated benchmark administrators and credit rating agencies (CRAs) to ensure they operate effectively and in line with regulatory requirements. Your work will help maintain market integrity and protect consumers by overseeing firms that produce critical financial benchmarks and credit assessments.
Key responsibilities include building trusted supervisory relationships with benchmark administrators, using constructive challenge and direct engagement to drive positive change. You will oversee strategic supervisory initiatives, engage with senior executives to improve governance and risk management, and develop specialist expertise across a diverse portfolio of benchmarks. You will identify and respond to emerging market risks with sound judgement, collaborate with FCA colleagues and international regulatory partners, and contribute to a culture of learning and supervisory effectiveness.

Experience
- Prior experience working in a regulatory and/or financial services sector related to indices and benchmarks
- Experience with key risks related to indices and the wider financial ecosystem
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills gained in industry, legal, or financial services contexts

- Proven ability to lead and deliver projects effectively within agreed timelines while managing multiple priorities
