About the Role
The Senior Clinical Fellow will lead the development and optimisation of the Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) programme for patients with prostate cancer across the South East London cancer network. This role involves providing support to patients participating in the PROMs programme and developing educational materials and training for both clinicians and patients to enhance understanding and engagement with PROMs. The postholder will collect and analyse data to help establish score thresholds of clinical significance, improving the clinical utility of PROMs. Additionally, the role includes contributing to a feasibility study assessing the impact of identified strategies on patient outcomes and adherence to the programme among patients and clinicians. The Senior Clinical Fellow will also contribute to the department’s record of producing national and international peer-reviewed publications, participate in clinical and service activities to ensure high standards of patient care, and support service development. Teaching and training responsibilities include undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Experience
Proven experience in clinical research or clinical roles related to prostate cancer and PROMs is essential. Experience in data collection, analysis, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications is highly desirable. Previous involvement in educational programme development and delivery is advantageous.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a relevant medical qualification with appropriate clinical experience in oncology or urology. Postgraduate qualifications or training in clinical research, medical education, or related fields will be an advantage.
