As one of London’s largest and definitely most exciting regeneration opportunities, Meridian Water will deliver transformational change, creating approximately 10,000 new homes and 6,000 jobs.
We are seeking a results driven Senior Commercial Manager who possesses a strong sense of strategic thinking, business acumen and relationship building skills to drive the commercial success of our initiatives and play an essential role in supporting the Council to deliver the Meridian Water Programme.
The role includes:
- Taking responsibility for the development of a ground floor commercial strategy, attracting both permanent and meanwhile businesses to the development, ensuring community infrastructure is considered.
- Working with the Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS England, the Education Sector and other partners to develop health facilities and new schools for Meridian Water
- Lead in negotiations regarding lease, licences and placemaking activities driving income and other benefits for the benefits of residents.
- Managing external consultants and contractors commissioned to deliver a variety of work including provision of estimates, cost plans, bills of quantity, tender documentation, procurement processes, contract management and cost control
- Acting as a key part of the senior Meridian Water team working closely with internal colleagues and external project teams.
The role will ensure best value in the procurement and delivery of building contracts, consultant appointments and development agreements. It is expected the successful candidate will have held previous commercial roles, perhaps as a quantity surveyor, cost manger or commercial manager. They will likely be professionally qualified RICS or similar. They will bring market knowledge and a desire to apply this within a client-side organisation on a fantastic regeneration project.

Grade: MM2 £52,503 - £66,600 with a market factor supplement of (£8,400) to take the annual salary up to £75,000
