About the Role
Hachette UK, the UK's second largest book publishing group, is seeking a Senior Communications Consultant for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering a robust internal communications strategy aligned with Hachette UK’s mission. You will act as a trusted advisor on communication issues affecting company reputation and employee experience, collaborating closely with HR, Divisional Communications Directors, and Board members to ensure a unified voice across internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include driving employee engagement through innovative communication channels and internal events, leveraging analytics and listening tools to refine messaging, and supporting the Group Communications Director in enhancing the company’s presence on external platforms such as the website, LinkedIn, and Instagram. The role demands flexibility and adaptive expertise to meet evolving business needs and maintain an agile communications function.

Experience
- Proven success in developing and executing impactful internal and external communications strategies
- Experience in external communications or PR, ideally within the arts sector
- Skilled in media relations and responding to press office queries
- Digital expertise with communication platforms and analytics tools
