About the Role
As a Senior Critical Environment Technician (CET) within Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the critical infrastructure that ensures our datacenters operate seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with suppliers and vendors, collaborating with management to address operational, risk, and safety issues, mentoring fellow CE Technicians, and performing hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of critical environment equipment. You will respond to onsite incidents, lead incident response teams, and use telemetry and monitoring platforms to oversee equipment performance and operations.

Experience
Experience in mission-critical services or applied learning in high availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields. Specialized experience in mechanical, electrical, or controls disciplines is required. Proven ability to independently perform advanced tasks and troubleshoot systems within your trained discipline.
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and leading onsite incident response teams is highly valued.

Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with relevant mission-critical services experience OR equivalent experience in a specialized field such as mechanical, electrical, or controls. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree, technical trade certification, or higher education combined with mission-critical services experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
