About the Role
We are the first point of contact for most of our customers, aiming to provide excellent, customer-focused and professional service. We are looking for energetic and ambitious candidates for the Senior Customer Services Officer position within our Customer Operations Team. This role primarily involves our Housing Advisory Telephone Service, dealing with calls regarding Homelessness, Temporary Accommodation Enquiries, Repairs, Rent, and liaising with the back office. The successful candidate will also assist with covering the General Enquiries Line and working on Webchat (Online services and Social Media), making experience with council services beneficial. Candidates must be comfortable dealing with challenging calls, navigating our web pages, and handling complex enquiries. Additionally, the role includes supporting and training new staff members and assisting Team Managers with advice and support at meetings to ensure a smooth customer journey.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in customer service is preferred, particularly in council services.

About you
You should be ready to work between the hours of 9am - 5:12pm, Monday to Friday, and be able to work at the Civic Centre twice a week (with potential for more days if required). You must be able to provide clear and concise information about our council services, maintain a positive attitude towards customers, and be willing to go the extra mile to assist them.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
