Due to continued growth, we are looking for ambitious individuals passionate about Data Privacy who are keen to develop and grow with us. As a client-facing Data Privacy professional, you will have extensive experience delivering complex projects and maintaining senior-level client relationships. You will possess a broad range of expertise across Data Privacy and be able to articulate, sell and deliver various Bridewell propositions to our target markets.
Your primary responsibility will be delivering client engagements, which may include managing a large programme of work or multiple privacy projects for a select group of clients. Activities include but are not limited to: implementing Data Protection by Design and Default processes; investigating, assessing and notifying data breaches; conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments; addressing data protection and privacy considerations in supply chains; data mapping; managing data subject rights processes; producing Privacy Notices and Policies; providing advice on data protection and privacy matters; developing Records of Processing Activities and related processes; delivering training and awareness programmes; conducting third party due diligence and ongoing assurance; reviewing and drafting data protection processing agreements; identifying, mitigating and managing privacy risks; staying current with privacy requirements and changes through research and attending conferences; and supporting sales opportunities and pre-sales activities in collaboration with others.
Experience
- Approximately 4-6 years of professional experience with expert technical knowledge of UK, European and global data protection laws and regulations such as GDPR, PECR and UK DPA.
- Practical experience applying expert domain knowledge across delivery scenarios including data mapping, responding to data subject requests, managing personal data breaches, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments, privacy audits, gap analysis and contract reviews.
- Experience developing, maintaining and implementing Data Privacy Frameworks in various organisations, including during large-scale transformations.
- Experience applying risk management approaches, conducting risk assessments and articulating risk effectively.
- Experience providing independent support and advice on a wide variety of privacy issues.
- Experience operating in the role of Data Protection Officer, including liaising with regulators such as the Information Commissioner’s Office.
- Knowledge of international privacy law and experience implementing appropriate international safeguards.

Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PDP) or equivalent.

- Previous work experience with regulators or industry bodies.
- Experience working with both Processors and Controllers.
- Experience across multiple industries or sectors.
- Experience presenting at industry events.
- Experience developing solutions to address client security requirements.
- Experience supporting business development, proposal development and presentations.
