The Velocity team focuses on eliminating friction by treating internal developers as customers, building intuitive tooling and standardizing best practices to enable product teams to focus on what matters most.

As a Senior DevEx Engineer, you will build self-service tools that empower product teams with autonomy while maintaining system stability. You will architect and evolve our core platform stack, lead reliability and business continuity initiatives, support infrastructure for industry-leading privacy features like our TIME-recognized "Anonymous Mode," and implement best-in-class observability to proactively identify and mitigate issues before they impact users.

Experience
6+ years in Infrastructure, Developer Experience, SRE, or DevOps roles supporting high-traffic, distributed environments.

About you
Deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes (K8s) is essential. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Skilled in scripting and building tools in multiple languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Bash. Strong communication skills with a "doc-first" mentality and ability to collaborate effectively across distributed product teams.

Qualifications
Professional accreditation such as AWS Professional Architect, CKAD, or KCSA is a plus. Experience hardening infrastructure for high-compliance or security-sensitive environments and scaling consumer tech platforms with millions of concurrent users is highly desirable.
