Location
Hybrid working based at any of UKHSA's core HQs: Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, and London (Canary Wharf).

Hours
Full Time - Flexible working opportunities with a hybrid working model. You will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata) at one of the core HQs.

£40,661 per annum

About the Role
As a Senior DSPT-CAF Compliance Advisor, you will build personal expertise in the regulatory and compliance obligations of the DSPT-CAF. You will identify gaps, shortfalls, and challenges for escalation to the Assistant Head DSPT-CAF Compliance. Your role includes evaluating the effectiveness of UKHSA policies and controls supporting the DSPT-CAF, providing timely advice to improve controls and mitigate compliance risks. You will communicate clear analysis and advice both verbally and in writing to influence management and colleagues, fostering a culture of compliance across diverse stakeholders. Working as part of the DSPT-CAF team, you will balance multiple priorities, collaborate with line management to identify new focus areas and projects, and respond flexibly to the needs of the Data and Cyber Security Directorate, Chief Data Officer Group, and UKHSA. Knowledge of the DSPT-CAF tool or its predecessors is advantageous but not essential. Requirements

Experience
- Compliance or assurance experience, including supporting reviews and investigations.
- Good knowledge and understanding of data protection law, including GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade others on compliance matters.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, adapting communication style to suit different audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to deliver at pace, work independently using initiative, and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Competence in core Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working collaboratively with integrity, openness, and respect for diversity.

- Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications or professional memberships, such as the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Qualifications
- No specific qualifications required; however, relevant professional qualifications or willingness to obtain them is desirable.
- Security clearance: Successful candidates must pass a Basic Personnel Security Standard disclosure and barring security check prior to appointment.
