About the Role
Apple Services is a dynamic and fast-growing development organization serving customers worldwide with music, movies, TV shows, books, podcasts, and apps. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager to lead complex AI/ML-powered music experiences within Apple Music. You will partner closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to drive programs from model development through evaluation, serving, and launch. This role requires deep technical domain expertise to manage server-side initiatives under tight release cycles, bridging ML research, engineering, and production infrastructure.

This is a high-responsibility position where you will own successful outcomes and delivery. You will lead projects and programs through the full software development lifecycle, including planning, scoping, prioritizing, resource allocation, and timelines. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Product, QA, Legal, Finance, Privacy, Marketing, Operations, and other teams inside and outside Apple to support AI/ML capabilities and foundational infrastructure in Apple Music.

You will translate complex technical work such as model readiness into clear executive updates and risk assessments, help establish processes to improve product development and execution, and thrive in a fast-paced, uncertain environment while maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.

This role demands integrity, strong judgment, a personal stake in the product, and a passion for shipping code that millions of customers will use.

Experience
- Substantial experience as an Engineering Program Manager with a proven track record in driving software development initiatives.
- Strong ML fluency with hands-on experience driving ML programs, including understanding model training, evaluation, and serving (offline/online metrics, evaluation, deployment tradeoffs).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependency chains across multiple engineering organizations.
- Experience managing GenAI, machine learning, and software development initiatives.
- Experience in the music industry, including working with music labels, is a plus.
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
- Strong facilitation skills to drive complex, cross-functional projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to all organizational levels.
- Experience establishing processes and/or team culture.
- Passionate about protecting privacy while delivering key product insights.
- Prior software development experience is a plus.
