About the Role
UNIQLO, a leading brand of the Fast Retailing Group and one of the largest apparel retailers globally, is seeking a Senior HR Payroll Specialist to join our European HR Payroll team based in London. This role reports to the European HR Payroll Manager and collaborates closely with local HR and Payroll teams as well as the wider European HR Department. The focus is on maintaining accuracy, quality, and compliance across Payroll, Mobility, and Immigration functions.

You will support EU markets by leading the end-to-end payroll process, working closely with Payroll Partners and HR Managers across Europe. Responsibilities include executing payroll file controls throughout the payroll cycle, managing payroll for expats in coordination with tax advisors, validating and approving payroll data, managing salary payments, taxes, social security, and other payroll-related payments. You will also manage month-end and quarterly payroll reports for Finance, identify and resolve payroll issues, and lead governance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll, mobility, and immigration.

Additionally, you will provide strategic input into EU-level policies, systems, and tools and manage immigration processes for expats arriving or leaving EU markets. This role requires strong communication skills to act as a valuable business partner to multiple internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience
3-5 years of payroll management experience in retail or high-volume environments (1000+ employees). Strong knowledge of payroll, taxation principles, and expat rules. Experience working with expats, global mobility, and tax advisors.

Proactive and self-driven with a "can do" attitude. Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong numerical skills and Excel proficiency. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as Workday and Work Force System. Ability to work effectively with diverse and global teams, demonstrating high cultural flexibility. Strong work ethics and integrity.
