About the Role
The Senior Implementation and Engagement Officer will provide vital programme support and lead engagement activities to ensure the successful delivery of defined workstreams. This role involves coordinating meetings, actions, documentation, timelines, and follow-up to maintain accurate and organised programme delivery. Acting as a key contact for participating Trusts, you will coordinate engagement, respond to queries, and share timely updates and requirements. You will liaise with Trusts and delivery partners to gather input, confirm arrangements, resolve routine issues, and identify or escalate risks and dependencies. Monitoring attendance, engagement, and programme activity data will be essential to identify trends, gaps, and evidence-based improvements. Additionally, you will manage the Observatory's event management system to maintain accurate participant information, support timely communications, and ensure an accessible participant experience. You will prepare and quality assure papers, presentations, briefings, reports, and programme documentation for internal and external audiences.
In the engagement and communications aspect of the role, you will draft clear, timely, inclusive, and culturally responsive communications for review by senior colleagues, adapting tone, format, and messaging for different audiences and channels. You will produce and coordinate communications and engagement materials such as newsletters, website copy, and social media content to support planning, promotion, delivery, and follow-up for programme engagement activities. Working collaboratively with colleagues and partners, you will ensure communications are inclusive, accessible, professional, and consistent. Using feedback and engagement insights, you will improve content, processes, and stakeholder experience, sharing recommendations with senior colleagues.
Experience
Proven experience in programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, or communications is essential. Experience working with healthcare organisations or Trusts is advantageous.
About you
You are organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences. You are culturally sensitive and committed to inclusive engagement. You work well collaboratively and independently, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in communications, project management, public health, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory. Demonstrable experience and skills will be considered.
