This high-profile role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver a complex portfolio of initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, improve patient experience and support better clinical outcomes. Working across clinical, operational and technology teams, you will bring structure, pace and clarity to a complex delivery landscape, ensuring initiatives are effectively mobilised, sequenced and delivered while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment across the organisation. Key responsibilities include actively shaping and value-engineering the programme to prioritise high-value outcomes early while protecting long-term strategic foundations; developing and maintaining integrated delivery plans across multiple workstreams using Agile principles where appropriate; managing interdependencies, critical paths, risks and issues to ensure successful delivery within timelines, budgets and quality standards; creating and maintaining resource plans and collaborating with leaders to optimise workforce allocation; leading budgeting activities in partnership with Finance to manage costs and ensure financial transparency; establishing effective programme governance including reporting frameworks and decision-making forums; building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels including Executive leadership; coordinating activity across operational, clinical, support and technology functions; proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies; and fostering collaborative, efficient ways of working to support sustainable change and successful adoption of programme deliverables.
Experience
- Proven track record of value engineering complex programmes, making evidence-based trade-offs between cost, scope, pace and benefit without creating technical debt or undermining future capability.
- Experience mobilising and managing large-scale transformation programmes involving multiple workstreams, stakeholders and dependencies.
- Strong expertise in programme planning, delivery sequencing and management of critical paths across complex initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience in resource planning, workforce mobilisation and coordinating cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong financial management capability including budget ownership, forecasting, cost control and reporting.
- Experience establishing governance structures, programme reporting frameworks, RAID processes and delivery controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with experience engaging senior leaders and Executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across clinical, operational, support and technology teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to bring clarity to complex delivery environments.
- A pragmatic, outcome-focused approach balancing pace, quality and stakeholder expectations.
