About the Role
Hackney Adult Social Care (ASC) is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Practice Innovation and Workforce Capability Team on a 12-month fixed term/secondment basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and promotion of the next generation of social workers by mentoring and supporting Social Work students and Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs). You will support the delivery of programmes including the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE), social work apprenticeships, student placements, and practice education. The post holder will drive service improvement, strengthen practitioner confidence, and enhance experience within adult social care practice.

Experience
- Experienced social worker with a strong background in practice education and assessment
- Proven ability to provide direct support and supervision to students and NQSWs completing their ASYE
- Knowledgeable about current and emerging adult social care legislation
- Strong communication skills to support colleagues and promote best practice
- Analytical with a good understanding of the national context and needs of newly qualified social workers

Qualifications
- Relevant social work qualification and registration
- Experience as a Practice Educator and practice assessor is essential
- Enhanced DBS clearance required
