About the Role
As a Senior Systems and Controls Officer, you will lead a dedicated team and safeguard the integrity of the Council's financial systems for both income and payments. You will support the Systems Controls and Income Team Manager by overseeing system accounts, carrying out complex General Ledger reconciliations, and leading the daily loading and reconciliation of bank statements.
You will guide your team to identify and resolve the root causes of system errors, while serving as the lead contact for system changes, upgrades, and implementations—including organising and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and project planning.
This role can be dynamic and challenging as you balance detailed technical analysis with reporting unreconciled items directly to senior leadership and deputising for the team manager. You will play a crucial role in providing assurance to senior finance leaders and streamlining processes to deliver the best possible outcomes for Camden.
This role is office based, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with additional days as needed.
