About the Role
Work as part of the Lambeth Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to manage a defined caseload, focusing on providing focused assessment and evidence-based interventions for children and young people (CYP) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their parents/carers. Plan and deliver whole school activities as part of a whole school/college approach to mental health and wellbeing. Provide consultation and guided signposting to education settings. You will be expected to provide case management and clinical skills supervision to qualified and/or trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) within the service, where applicable. The role requires flexibility to work across a range of education providers. Promote the participation of children, young people, families, carers, and the wider school community. Champion equity, diversity, and inclusion within your role, the MHST, and school communities by contributing to creating a psychologically safe environment that enables staff, children, young people, families, carers, and the wider school community from diverse backgrounds to flourish.

Requirements

Experience
Experience working with children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties is essential. Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions and managing caseloads within education or community settings is highly desirable.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, young people, families, carers, and education staff. You demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in mental health, psychology, social work, or related fields are required. Experience or training in clinical supervision is desirable. You must be able to work flexibly across different education providers.
