About the Role

This includes reviewing and improving staff activities and performance through the PDR process and one-to-one meetings, identifying development and training needs, and providing coaching. You will manage people-related issues such as recruitment, probationary reviews, disciplinary and capability matters, and absence management within the team.

In this role, you will organise and manage a programme of initiatives supporting the Council’s objectives, including digital inclusion, literacy for children and adults, fostering a love of reading, and promoting lifelong learning. You will maintain, monitor, and potentially expand current income-generating initiatives and seek new opportunities to bring additional income to the service. Monitoring project funds to ensure appropriate and timely expenditure will also be a key responsibility.

Enfield Council values a culture that puts customers at the heart of everything we do by empowering our people to collaborate, be open and respectful, take responsibility, and continuously learn. Flexible working arrangements are supported.
