Description
Your typical day could start with a residents’ coffee morning at one of the schemes on your patch. Then you might be attending a liaison meeting with a third-party care provider operating in your building, before supporting one of your team-members with a health-and-safety audit. As a Service Manager you’ll be the interface between our leadership team and the delivery of our older people’s housing out on the ground. You’ll be an ambassador for our organisational values, leading and inspiring your team to embody those values in their day-to-day interactions with residents. With a particular focus on helping our older residents to live healthier, happier lives, you’ll actively create and sustain a caring, supportive service which prevents social isolation, keeps residents’ homes safe and comfortable, and promotes independence for as long as possible. You’re a people person who likes to get things done. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and you’re first rate at building meaningful relationships across the business to enable you to find creative solutions to problems. You’ll need to be out at your schemes for the majority of your time, and at our head office once a week, but can balance this with homeworking in order to keep on top of your admin. Your role covers all aspects of specialist housing delivery, and your team-members will be responsible for building safety compliance, repairs administration, tenancy management and Anti Social Behaviour case handling; additionally they’ll be responsible for providing ad hoc housing-related support to residents and for social inclusion activities, the additional functions that make our homes special.
