15 minutes south of London Bridge, based in Catford SE6 with 2 mainline train stations 5-10 minutes’ walk from the office at Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU and numerous bus routes that stop outside the offices. We operate a hybrid working approach as determined by service requirements.

Salary
£45,852 - £47,925 per annum (SW / SCP 31-33). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role unless matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.

As a Social Worker in our service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, strengths-based assessments, interventions, and care planning. Your work will directly support individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives within their communities.
You will provide person-centred social work support that empowers individuals and promotes independence. You will lead on comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation. Collaboration with individuals, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals is essential to ensure holistic and effective support.
You will confidently navigate and apply the Continuing Health Care (CHC) framework, safeguarding protocols, and Mental Capacity Act processes. Staying informed about local services and resources will be key to ensuring the best outcomes for those you support.

Experience
Qualified Social Workers registered with Social Work England who have successfully passed their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (AYSE). Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and a commitment to promoting their rights, choices, and wellbeing is essential.
About you
Strong working knowledge of the adult social care legal framework, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding legislation. Excellent communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
Qualified Social Worker with BA / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent and completion of the ASYE programme. This role is subject to Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. Adherence to standards set out in the Job Description and Person Specification is required.
