About the Role
Help people rebuild their lives through compassionate, professional mental health support. As a Social Worker within Jami's Adult Mental Health Service, part of Jewish Care, you will support adults experiencing mental illness, psychological distress, trauma and isolation. This 12-month fixed term contract covers a secondment and offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team to empower individuals to overcome challenges, achieve greater independence and improve their overall wellbeing through recovery-focused, person-centred social work.

Jami's Adult Mental Health Service supports members of the Jewish community facing mental health challenges by delivering recovery-focused, strengths-based and person-centred support. Interventions include one-to-one work, group programmes, community engagement and partnership working with statutory and voluntary organisations. You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, working alongside experienced professionals to make a genuine difference every day.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality social work interventions, managing complex caseloads, undertaking holistic assessments, developing person-centred support plans and using professional judgement to ensure timely and appropriate support. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Jewish Care and external partners to safeguard vulnerable adults, advocate for clients, and contribute to innovative community-based services that reduce isolation and promote recovery.

Key responsibilities include managing complex caseloads, conducting comprehensive assessments, identifying and managing risk, supporting individuals in crisis situations such as homelessness, domestic abuse and suicidal ideation, providing advice and advocacy, coordinating with healthcare and voluntary sector partners, contributing to community initiatives, maintaining accurate records in line with GDPR, and participating in supervision and continuous professional development to maintain Social Work England registration.
