About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Solution Architect to join our Payments Platform team. In this role, you will orchestrate complex solution architectures with broad architectural significance for key outcomes or epics by defining architectures and designs that deliver these outcomes aligned with our technology strategy. You will play a substantive role in enabling teams to deliver at pace by shaping the solution architecture forward look for a lab or platform, partnering closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and Enterprise Architects.
Your responsibilities will include leading the solution architecture for products that deliver customer value while meeting quality, resilience, financial, and technical objectives. You will support the definition of a solution architecture forward look within the QBR planning horizon to inform product roadmaps, considering currency, technical debt, key outcomes, and epics. You will analyse options and implementation alternatives to propose solutions and create designs using relevant architectural building blocks to deliver modernised architectures.
Aligning with architectural standards, protocols, principles, and patterns is essential, as is supporting the development of local standards and patterns where required. When alignment is not possible, you will ensure an agreed position is reached and that technical debt or non-compliance is captured. You will provide technical direction and guidance to engineering teams, research and recommend new technologies and tools, and ensure solutions are resilient, secure, and scalable, meeting key non-functional requirements.
Participation in solution reviews to ensure compliance with standards, identifying and mitigating risks associated with solution architecture, and contributing to innovation and continuous improvement in solution design and delivery are key aspects of this role. You will deliver solutions in an agile manner, participating in agile ceremonies and working closely with feature teams to enable incremental customer value delivery. Maintaining and enhancing your technical skills to provide guidance and stay current with industry trends and standards is also expected.
Join us and be part of a team that is evolving with purpose, investing billions in people, data, and technology to transform how we serve our 26 million customers.
