About the Role

Within the SRE and Migrations team, you will nurture a service-oriented culture championing Site Reliability Engineering for continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with Engineering Leads and Product Owners, you will enhance tool performance to meet the needs of the UK's leading retail bank. The team values support, knowledge sharing, and celebrating collective achievements.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will solve complex challenges and support business growth by delivering scalable, robust solutions with measurable impact. You will work alongside LBG experts, engineers, and partners, applying strong communication skills to bridge business and IT. Curiosity, passion for technology, and commitment to continuous improvement are essential qualities.
Your responsibilities will include delivering on Engineering Platform and team roadmaps, collaborating to release and evolve enterprise-class products, enhancing platform resiliency and reliability, monitoring system health, managing error budgets, and leading incident response and post-mortem analysis. You will build tools to support service reliability and code quality, lead innovative initiatives, and mentor peers to grow their technical skills.

Experience
- Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines (Harness, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible)
- Proficiency in Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Cloud Observability tools
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
- Experience designing, implementing, and owning Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical platform services
- Incident and problem management expertise, including leading incident response and post-mortem analysis

Qualifications
- Technical leadership experience across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and automation frameworks

- Proficient knowledge in cloud security and networking is beneficial
