About the Role
As a Specialist Dietitian in Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN), you will provide expert, evidence-based dietetic assessment and advice for patients receiving home enteral nutrition. You will manage a dietetic caseload to ensure high quality care, reviewing patients at appropriate intervals based on prioritisation criteria and clinical judgement. Your role involves multidisciplinary assessment and collaboration with HEN team members to deliver extended care and advice on all aspects of tube feeding at home. You will agree care plans with patients and/or carers to help meet nutrition-related goals and work across various community settings including patients’ homes, day centres, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centres. You will provide practical and safe tube feeding plans, work autonomously in clinical decision-making and evaluation of dietetic interventions, and advise on ordering specialist nutritional and enteral feeding products including feeds, ancillaries, and pumps.

Experience
Experience in dietetic assessment and management of patients requiring home enteral nutrition is essential. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is required.

Qualifications
Registered Dietitian with relevant professional qualifications and HCPC registration. Specialist knowledge and experience in enteral nutrition is highly desirable.
