About the Role
As a Staff Nurse within the Dermatology Surgery & Laser Unit, you will be responsible for the admission, care, and discharge of patients undergoing dermatological surgeries including biopsies and Mohs micrographic surgery, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. You will assist the surgical team during procedures to promote safe and efficient operations and support the delivery of laser therapy treatments for conditions such as vascular lesions and scarring, maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout. Your role will also involve contributing to audits and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and patient care. You will be expected to recognise and avoid situations detrimental to patient wellbeing, deliver care prioritising safety, comfort, and dignity, and carry out nursing assessments and care planning based on significant observations. Professional accountability in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct is essential, alongside a commitment to maintaining and improving your nursing knowledge and skills. You will also ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and departmental policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Experience
Experience in nursing within surgical or dermatology settings is desirable to effectively support dermatological surgeries and laser treatments.

Qualifications
