About the Role
As a Convenience Store Manager at Sainsbury's, you will have full control over your shop and be an accountable leader who ensures we deliver on our purpose to make good food joyful, accessible, and affordable for everyone, every day. You will lead a team of Customer and Trading Managers who run the shifts, while you plan and prepare for upcoming trading activity with a commercial mindset, anticipating issues from today up to six months ahead. You will ensure everything is safe and legal, managing a fast-paced retail environment that is constantly evolving with new business initiatives and change programmes. This role carries significant responsibility but is highly rewarding.

As a hands-on leader, you will drive brilliant customer experiences and continuously strive to improve the customer journey. You will be involved in all aspects of store operations including product availability, safety standards, and seamless daily management. Your leadership will empower your team to raise the bar every day, making work more rewarding for colleagues and shopping a next-level experience for customers. Experience
- Proven experience leading a fast-paced retail operation with accountabilities for delivering customer, financial, and organisational outcomes.
- Experience managing employee relations cases including dismissals, with confidence in understanding and interpreting HR policies.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and insight to inform planning, improve performance, and enhance customer experience and KPIs.
- Experience in leading change and delivering engagement while managing team wellbeing.
