About the Role
Join Thames Reach as a Support Worker within the Tenancy Sustainment Team, where your understanding, compassion, and commitment will make a real difference to people affected by homelessness. Thames Reach delivers projects and services across London aimed at ending homelessness by working directly with people on the streets, in hostels, and supporting those at risk of losing their homes. Our mission is challenging but rewarding, having helped over 15,000 people last year alone. We are proud to be recognised as one of the top 100 Best Workplaces in the UK, offering a supportive environment to develop your skills and build a fulfilling career.
As part of the Floating Support services, you will work with individuals to sustain their housing through a strength-based approach, identifying and addressing support needs collaboratively with landlords, government departments, and health services. Support may be short term or for the duration of a tenancy, including resettlement assistance and equipping people with the skills to manage their homes independently. You will assess referrals, complete needs assessments and support plans, provide practical advice on housing rights, benefits, education, and employment, and liaise with partner agencies to ensure tenancy sustainment and progression towards independence.
You will also take a lead role within the team, working closely with assistant support workers, volunteers, and student placements to manage casework and resource provision effectively. Thames Reach is committed to safeguarding and values diversity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
