About the Team
The role involves managing reactive repairs within a geographical area of the borough. The team manages a range of works from emergency repairs, routine repairs, through to planned works. We work in collaboration with various teams within the council as well as a number of external stakeholders to provide a comprehensive repairs service.
About the Role
This position requires managing reactive repairs across the borough, including emergency, routine, and planned works. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective delivery of repairs services. The role demands strong knowledge of structures, high-rise buildings, low-rise domestic buildings, defect diagnosis and remedies, and application of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of Lambeth’s housing stock and infrastructure.
Experience
At least five years’ experience in a similar role within a local authority environment focused on repairs. Strong knowledge of building structures including high-rise and low-rise domestic buildings. Proven experience diagnosing defects and applying appropriate remedies. Familiarity with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 is essential.

You are a proactive and knowledgeable surveyor with excellent communication and organisational skills. You work well collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. You have a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs services and improving community assets.
Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in surveying or building management are expected. Enhanced DBS clearance will be required upon appointment.
