About the Role
Lift Kingswood's Teaching Assistants are vital members of the team. You will work side by side with teachers to help every student access learning, develop independence and grow in confidence. Your work will make a genuine difference by supporting young people to achieve their potential and flourish in all aspects of school life.
You will get to know your students' individual needs, helping them master lesson content and develop skills to learn independently. You will deliver small-group or one-to-one support, promote positive behaviours and help create a safe, stimulating learning environment. You will collaborate with teachers, SENDCO, pastoral staff and families to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed.

Requirements

Experience
Experience of working with young people is required.

- Passionate about helping students succeed and puts students first
- Builds positive, respectful relationships with young people
- Works effectively as part of a team with teachers, SENDCO, pastoral staff and families
- Communicates clearly and sensitively with students and adults
- Understands or is willing to learn about supporting students with SEND and diverse learning needs
- Adapts support to help students access the curriculum and develop independence
- Maintains high expectations of behaviour and promotes positive choices
- Plans and delivers small-group or one-to-one interventions within clear guidelines
- Organised, reliable and professional in all aspects of work
- Reflective, open to feedback and committed to ongoing learning and development

Qualifications
- Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English or GCSE grade C/4 and above
- Trained in or willing to complete Teaching Assistant training (Level 3)
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is required for best outcomes; if not held, you will be enrolled in the Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme to gain the necessary skills and experience
